We hold an annual Hui Ā Tau for our membership delegates to provide an opportunity for whakawhanaungatanga, support, sharing of information, ideas and resources to feed the wairua of our members so that they can go back to their studies or mahi feeling rejuvenated, inspired and recognised for their continued hard work in the area of health and well being.
The Hui Ā Tau 2017 will be held at Korongata Marae, 9 Maraekakaho Road, Hastings, on Thursday the 30th of November 9am-6pm, and Friday the 1st of December 2017 between 9am-3.30pm. We will also be making use of Te Tai Whenua O Heretaunga Takarangi Conference room on Friday the 1st of December for presentation purposes. The name of our Hui Ā Tau is “Te Takoha Whakatipuranga” representing a gift of giving and growth. The theme or whakatauaki that we feel is fitting for this hui is “Ko te manu kai i te miro, nōna te ngahere. Ko te manu kai i te mātauranga, nōna te ao”, representing the fruits or hua of coming together for our hui and sharing knowledge. Please see the attached file for the programme details and guest speakers by clicking on the Hui-Ā-Tau 2017 Registration tab on the home screen. The full programme timetable will be available on arrival to the Hui-Ā-Tau 2017. Members - FREE to attend Non-members - $250.00 Housekeeping Accommodation will be provided and available to those who register at Korongata Marae from Wednesday the 29th of November at 4pm until Friday the 1st of December at 4pm for anyone who requires it. Please note that as we are staying on a Marae, tikanga will need to be respected and followed. Any members that have not been to the marae will be expected to attend powhiri. There will be 3 opportunities to be welcomed onto Korongata Marae for the Hui-Ā-Tau as follows:
Pillows and sheets will be provided, but please bring your own blanket or sleeping bag, towel and toiletries. The NPM AGM will be held at Te Taiwhenua O Heretaunga, Takarangi Conference Room in Hastings on Friday the 1st of December from 2.10pm - 3.30pm. We encourage all Hui-Ā-Tau attendees to stay for this important meeting as the decisions made at the AGM impact on the future direction of the organisation, and we, the Board of NPM want to know how you would like to be supported moving forward. The only way we can do this, is by ensuring we have good member representation at the AGM, so that people can voice their opinions and views to help the organisation successfully achieve a better future for our people.
